A modern writer with classic sensibilities
Arkady Povzikov was born in Saint Petersburg (Leningrad) of the former Soviet Union. He started writing at a young age, and by his twenties had published poems in various Russian literary magazines. He immigrated to Canada in 1973 and made the news with his first book "Goodbye to the Nevsky" in 1990. Since then he has continued to write and publish novels that share his unique perspective on life and human relationships. He is known for exploring new and modern concepts from the perspective of a classical writer.
