Your spiritual journey is an incredible road that was meant to take you to incredible places. On your spiritual journey you will find enlightenment and find yourself with a new attitude. You have probably read all of the resources on paper and the internet that provide exercises to do and advice to follow. All of this is great, but don’t you think that is a little narrow minded? Let me explain.
A spiritual journey is one that allows us to find the best versions of ourselves. In order to do this, we must get involved with the world we live in. We have to learn things that we wouldn’t normally learn, try things that we wouldn’t normally try. Sure, you need a healthy dose of great advice, but what about learning by doing? Do you really think that you are tapping into all of your resources?
People can learn amazing things when they open up to learning and teaching each other. What do I mean? Take for example, the book The Thirteenth Apostle by Arkady Povzikov. When one first picks up this book, they assume that they are going to get a good dose of religious reading. Once you get into the book, you will notice many lessons that you can apply to your own life. The characters are easy to indentify with and you can understand their situations. Who would think that your spiritual journey could start with a fiction book? The point is that we are learning from ourselves and each other (the author in this case).
Another example is taking a look at how people act in certain situations. In examining other people, you often unknowingly make the decision how you will behave and react in similar situations. This is just another way to use unconventional inspiration in your spiritual journey.
If you are interested in The Thirteenth Apostle and the lessons it provides, it is now available online.
